About Lugala School of Nursing
The Lugala School of Nursing, commonly referred to as Chuo cha Nursing Lugala . The school runs a one-year preparatory programme for boys and girls with form four secondary education (or above), who want to sit for a college of nursing entrance examination. The school was established in 1989. There are opportunities for students (irrespective of whether they attended the preparatory school) to be sponsored by Lugala Lutheran Hospital after obtaining a place at a college of health sciences. In that case they have to come back to work at the hospital for a certain number of years after completion of training.
