The Tanzania Public Service College (TPSC) was established in 2000 under the Government Agencies Act No. 30 of 1997. The purpose of its establishment was to close the gap on having an integrated public service training institution to meet the changing needs of the public service caused by improvements in the public service and the need to have a competent independent public service college of sustainable funding.
As a result, TPSC is a preferred knowledge and skills service provider for public service in the areas of leadership, Strategic Management, Administration, ethics and accountability. It is also an institution to create a culture of sustainable education for public servants. TPSC clients include Central and Local Governments, independent departments, Government Agencies, Secondary School graduates, the general public and the private sector.
TPSC has six strategically built campuses in Dar es Salaam, Tabora, Mtwara, Singida, Tanga and Mbeya as well as an Online Training Center to be closer to its clients nationwide.
The Institute offers three levels of Certificate (Basic Technician Certificate), Diploma and Bachelor’s Degree (BA) in the public and private sectors on its campuses. In addition to these programs, TPSC offers review courses for Public Service Examinations. and Advisory Services. (CBET) as a means of development, access to quality education and training that meets the needs of a permanent and fast-growing labor market.
The Tanzania Public Service College has redesigned its website for the benefit of customers, stakeholders and the general public. This website is an information tool that aims to inform the general public about the College of Public Service, the services it provides, its structure and the college’s activities in general.
