About Massana College of Nursing
Massana is a private health institution located at Mbezi Beach along Bagamoyo Road at the junction of Goba Road. It was established in 1995 by the late Professor Richard Seth Massana Lema in which the hospital was opened, currently managed by Mary-Ani R. Lema.
In 2005 Massana College of Nursing and Midwifery was opened after fulfilment of the requirement for registration by the Tanzania Nurses and Midwives Council (TNMC). In 2014 it was registered by the National Council for Technical Education (NACTE) and then accredited by NACTE in 2017. The college undertakes the Nursing and Midwifery programs for pre-service and in-service students. Arrangements are underway to establish other health and social science long and short courses.
The college is operating under the guidelines of government authorities which are the Ministry of Health, Community Development, Gender, Elderly and Children under the division of Human Resources Development, Tanzania Nurses and Midwives Council (TNMC) and National Council for Technical Education (NACTE) to ensure quality standards are maintained.
