The MAMA NGINA GIRLS High School was established on 25th January 1988 as a public double streamed boarding secondary school for girls, with an entry of 80 students. The school was started with a view to utilize facilities of the former Mama Ngina Hostel which by then had become underutilized following the inception of 8.4.4 system that phased out ‘A’ level and also directed schools to obtain 85% of their students from their home districts.
