About Shirati College of Health Sciences
The college started with a single programme i.e Certificate in Nursing and Midwifery. Later on it expanded and began to offer a certificate in Community Health. The need for upgrading courses lead to the establishment of a Diploma in Nursing and Midwifery and later a Diploma in social work for both pre and in-service students. However plans are under way to establish a Diploma in Pharmaceutical Sciences this year, which will incorporate both pre and in-service students.
The need for expansion to meet our mission and vision has been the main focus of the institution. The plan is to introduce 5 courses including a Diploma in clinical medicine, dentistry, medical laboratory and diagnostic radiography in the coming years. This will be accompanied by building new classes, laboratory, skills lab, computer lab, library, offices and hostels. These will suffice the accommodation of both the programmes, teachers and students.
