About Mlale Community Development Training Institute (cdti) – Songea
The college is located in Magagura village, Magagura ward, Songea Rural District Council. The college inherited buildings that were built by the people of Ireland in 1967. Before starting to offer community development courses in 2008 the buildings were used to provide trainings for rural farmers (Farmers Training Centre), training for rural development and Folk development College at different times.
The institute is a government owned institution under the ministry of community development, gender and children.
The Institute offers Certificate in Community Development Course NTA Level 4 and 5
The specific objectives of these courses include but not limited to; provision of professional training in community development, facilitation approaches and strategies as well as enabling candidates to appreciate, cherish and apply advanced participatory community development methods and techniques in community development work.
