About Karatu Health Training Institute
The Karatu Health Training Institute, commonly referred to as Chuo Cha Afya Karatu, The Karatu Health Training Institute was established in 2012 with the aim of Providing Health Programmes. Since its inception, the institute has been enrolling students mostly from different part of Tanzania.
The School has been running a 2 years Certificate programs in Nursing and clinical Medicine during its establishment. Following the current reforms in Health Training, this program is now a three years Nursing program offering an Ordinary Diploma at National Technical Awards (NTA Level 6) and 2 year Clinical Medicine at National Technical Awards (NTA level 5).
This Institute is registered by National Council for Technical Education (NACTE) which is registering body for all technical institution with registration Number REG/HAS/113. Within a learning environment, learner will acquire knowledge, Professional Competencies and attitude. The training is conducted in NTA levels semesterized modules, whereby one academic year consist of two semesters
